Reparations NOW! podcast interviews those leaders currently active in the Reparations Movement as well as produces podcasts on Ancestors and organizations that have contributed to the
Reparations movement.
We hope that with each episode, in addition to learning more about the Reparations Movement that you will be inspired to take action in support of Reparations for people of African descent.
Nana Kwesi Jumoke Ifetayo
Nana Kwesi Jumoke Ifetayo currently serves as the Male Co- Chair of the South Florida Chapter of
N’COBRA and the Facilitator of the ASHE Committee of N’COBRA (National Coalition of Blacks for
Reparations in America) the largest grassroots membership based national reparations
coalition of individuals and organizations in the USA, and he has served as the past National Male
Co- chair of N’COBRA, National Secretary, SE Region Representative of N’COBRA. and Male Co- chair of
the NCOBRA Atlanta Chapter for many years.
Baba Jumoke is a trained professional community organizer having been on staff with TransAfrica ,
ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), Federation of Southern
Cooperatives, and Mississippi Action for Community Education and has volunteered with many other
organizations, groups and formations.
He serves on the Reparations Committee of the Movement 4 Black Lives.
Baba Jumoke currently Chairs the South region of First REPAIR National Reparations Monthly strategy sessions.
Baba Jumoke is a community organizer, reparations thought leader, lecturer, visionary, activist
father, spirit dancer, event planner, ceremony facilitator, consultant and entrepreneur.
He received his BA from the University of the South in Sewanee TN, with a double Major in
Economics and Third World Studies.
With over 25 years’ experience with N’COBRA and a lifetime of experience as a community activist,
Baba Jumoke has spoken at many schools, universities, conferences and churches. Baba Jumoke has written articles, and done numerous interviews on the reparations movement.
In addition to hosting an annual 6-hour Radio program on Reparations, Baba Jumoke also
hosted a bi-weekly Reparations radio show and podcast for 2 years on the Blacktalk Radio Network
called “Conversation Reparations”. Baba Jumoke produces and hosts the Reparations NOW podcast a
dynamic audio visual podcast spotlighting leaders and organizations past and present in the
reparations movement space.
Kamm Howard is a national and international reparations scholar and activist working for over 20 years building grassroots movements to obtain reparations for African descendants in the United States.
From 2006-2022, he served as the National Co-Chair of The National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America, or N’COBRA. While at N’COBRA, he assisted in forming the vision and developed, led, and implemented many significant actions pushing forward and keeping alive the fight for redress and repair for the intergenerational harm inflicted on black people and the anti-black policies sanctioned by local, state, and federal governments affecting us to this day.
In 2022, Howard founded Reparations United to further his mission for obtaining reparations. He provides advisory and leadership to coalitions and activists in the movement.
Currently, he serves as a Commissioner of the National African American Reparations Commission where he led in revising the federal legislation H.R. 40.; a bill to establish a commission to study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans. Also, he sits on the Board of First Repair – founded by Robin Rue Simmons of Evanston, Illinois, Global Black started by Dr. Amara Enya, and he sits on the advisory councils of the Advisory Council of the African American Redress Network (AARN) and the Descendants of the St. Louis University Enslaved, or DSLUE.
